Record an audio-only message on iPhone
Recording and sending audio-only messages on iPhone into ZipMessage is possible, but requires a few extra steps:
Use your iPhone's built-in Voice Recorder app to record audio.
Tap the "..." then tap "Save to Files"
In ZipMessage, click the red button to begin a message.
In the popout menu, tap "Choose File"
Navigate to the folder where you saved the audio.
Even though the file might appear "greyed out" or unavailable, don't worry. Simply long-press that audio file. If a popout menu appears when you long-press, don't select any option in it. Instead, simply tap the audio file icon once again and that should select it.
Now you should see the "Upload & Send Reply" button in ZipMessage. Tap that to upload and send your audio-only message.
